For the true Rowpieces fans, the second release after the "25 Years Of Making Music" release is an absolute must! Because "Inspirations" contains all of the 5 rediscovered of very first works on a single cassette labelled "Robert S. - Inspirations". They are so important and therefore get an extra release, because they mark the beginnings of a producer who later on should not be so unknown and unpopular in the scene. In the mid-nineties, when producing music without expensive equipment was hardly possible for the poorly off, he began his journey against all odds, because it was his absolute will. And what he sets his mind to, becomes reality - see his many creative works, also on many of the most famous labels, and including his own digital record company namely Rowtown Records.
Of course, we know that studio recordings on analogue magnetic tape are subject to certain ageing processes and no longer comply with the current audio standard. But for the enthusiastic Rowpieces fans among you, that's certainly of secondary importance. After all, we're talking about a piece of history here, and not everything is always high-gloss and high-end. And if we're honest, the tracks sound pretty good after the elaborate and painstaking recording and mastering process.
With the necessity of acquiring cassette decks, Row was seized by nostalgia, and above all, amazement that cassettes can sound really good. And apart from that: there is simply nothing like the feel and beauty of analogue recordings! Now that he has high-quality, refurbished cassette decks in his studio, we are very happy to announce that we can offer you a small, limited edition of audio cassettes of the compilation "25 Years Of Making Music" in our Rowtown catalogue!
